Concerns

Start with what bothers you, not with the treatment. Explore common skin and aesthetic concerns, what may be causing them, what can realistically be improved and the different ways they can be approached, including options beyond those offered at Dr Munroe Clinic.

Under-eye hollows

Tired-looking eyes usually have one of three causes: a hollow, a fat pad that has moved forward, or pigment. Each needs a different approach, and only the first is usually treated with filler.

Lines and wrinkles

Lines that appear with expression and fade at rest come from muscle. These tend to respond well to anti-wrinkle injections, while lines that remain at rest may also benefit from treatments that improve skin quality. Often, both factors are in play.

My face has lost firmness and feels saggy

Skin laxity

Firmness goes as deeper support thins: collagen, fat and bone. Skin regeneration can improve the surface, but sagging caused by loss of deeper support needs a different approach, and sometimes the honest answer is surgical.

Skin quality

Texture, crepiness and dullness are surface concerns with deeper causes, such as sun exposure, smoking, hormonal change and time. They respond to treatments that work within the skin rather than adding volume.

my jawline has softened

Jawline definition

A softer jawline can have several causes, including volume loss along the jaw, a chin that sits back, or fullness beneath it, and each is treated differently.

Temple hollowing

Hollow temples make the face look narrower and older than it is, and are easy to miss as a cause. Three treatments can restore the area, and the choice depends on how gradual a change you want.

Hair thinning

Shedding and thinning are different, and the cause guides the treatment. Blood tests are recommended first, as deficiencies are a common and correctable cause.
